Quick review: highstreet concealer: nyx hd

The NYX hd concealer was one of those products I didn’t fall in love with after my first use. The mistake I made was by firstly picking up the shade 04 ( a light-medium yellow shade) and using it without correcting the  under eye darkness first.

Now after using a corrector and skintone concealer I find this concealer superb in brightening and highlighting the under eye area and the high points of the face.

The concealer has a fantastic doe foot style applicator which allows easy distribution of product on the face. The concealer is of a creamy thin texture and blends beautifully on the face.

The shade 04 is a light medium yellow shade. I would say this concealer has a medium buildable coverage and hence why it brightens the under eye area really well. I can even go on to say that I feel it works just aswell as Mac prep and prime highlighter or even better! I have now gone onto even purchase the Nyd hd concealer in yellow as it mostly definitely is a dupe for Mac prep and prime in bright forecast! ( more to come on this; a separate review).

I also will need to pick up a shade closer to my skintone so that I can use it on days I don’t want to highlight. After correcting with an orange concealer I think this concealer will still look very natural and conceal my darkness under the eyes well.

As a highlighting concealer I find this to stay put and last on my skin with minimal creasing for 10 hours+. However one thing to note is that I feel like I have to set the concealer as it is quite creamy.

A fantastic budget buy for £5.50. You honestly go wrong and there’s a wide variety of colours to choose from…if you haven’t tried it I honestly urge you to give it a go! you will love it:)
Until next time I’m signing off…

Thanks for reading..:)
