Quick review:Highstreet concealer faves: Collection lasting perfection concealer #1

image

I’m starting of my top 3 highstreet/drugstore concealers with the superb ‘Collection lasting perfection concealer’ because it’s probably the most repurchased concealer in my makeup stash!
High coverage, creamy, good colour match and super inexpensive   Now what more can I ask for? for £4.19 and even cheaper when on offer.

I use the shade ‘deep’ and find that the salmon undertone counteracts the darkness well. Regardless of the fact that I color correct under the eyes when using ANY concealer I really like the undertone this shade has.

Packaging?

This concealer comes in the normal doe-foot applicator/lip gloss tube style, allowing an easy distribution of product to the desired areas of the face. The doe-foot picks up sufficient amounts of product where you can carefully build up the coverage to the desired amount required.

Coverage and color selection?

The shade ‘deep’ further brightens the under eye area after colour correcting providing a good medium and if built up, a high medium coverage. However as I’m using the shade ‘deep’- (which is unfortunately the darkest shade in the range), I do go over it with a lighter concealer to further brighten it. And so this concealer would be a good option to purchase in lighter shades if you want a highlighted under eye area.

Longevity?

As the name suggests’ lasting perfection’, this concealer definitely lasts on me around the 8 hour mark until the darkness under the eyes start to re-appear.

Consistency?

This concealer is creamy yet has a drier creamy consistency. Maybe the reason as to why it lasts well on the skin. Nonetheless it does blend beautifully under the eyes. However if you do have dry under eyes I do recommend a good hydrating under eye cream, so that it sits well and less creasing is apparent.

Creasing?

Now which concealer doesn’t crease? they all do but if this is set well and excess product is removed there is minimal creasing.

Does it need to be set with powder? To increase longevity I think it is crucial to atleast lightly set any concealer. However the finish of this concealer is matte so if you do not like to, it will still look flawless.

All in all, this concealer really performs well. I always seem to go back to it so do try it if you haven’t!

Have you tried this? what do you guys think?
