In today’s beauty world it’s all about either highlighting ( strobing) or contouring, and so when there’s a new contour palette released and I walk pass the aisle in Superdrug or Boots it just calls my name😉.

Now honestly I did go to superdrug and see the Collection contour kit, thought I should pick it up,-gave it a swatch-was hesitant because the highlighter didn’t seem glow-y enough and left the shop.
The next time I went, me being the beauty analytic I am (feeling as though it’s my duTy to test the product for my dear blog readers)I thought I should give it a go! My inside thoughts started telling me that it’s now on promotion at £2.79 at Superdrug and will later retail for £4.19 and so I HAD to buy it and finally bought it home.😄

What next?…

I came home, my makeup was still intact but I could do with a little touch up and so pulled out this little kit and gave it a whirl.( -fyi I just have to try things straight away, I lack patience.)

My thoughts…

I honestly loved the bronzer as soon as I applied it. It isn’t too warm and so makes for a good contour colour. It sculpted out my cheekbones, 😍 which looked very natural. I think this kit comes in only 1 shade so I think it will work on skin tones up to an NC42.
Moreover as this was the only shade they had, I’m glad that it wasn’t too light on my skin tone that it’s like a face powder(- like some bronzers are and for reference I’m between an NC35-NC40 for reference).

Next up was the highlighter which I was a bit sceptical about as I own highlighters which swatch prettier than this Collection one did….
However this pale champagne-with a peachy hue highlighter certainly did create a perfect everyday subtle highlight to the face, without leaving any glitter or shimmer visible.
However it is important to note that it isn’t as smooth or finely milled as some other highlighters, and slightly chalky upon swatch but it still does apply nicely on the face.

It’s like you can dust the highlight shade on your cheek bones, nose,  forehead generously, and not worry about it being overdone. I think I particularly will get more use out of this product in the day time, when I want a subtle radiance to the skin, for instance when wearing a matte foundation.

I have used this product everyday over the past week and am actually enjoying it more than I thought I would (Don’t judge a book by its cover!!!). This is a great budget buy and I honestly believe that for this quality, nice sleek compact packaging, it’s a really nice product and for the price you really couldn’t ask for more ( fyi- seventeen contour palette is £4.99 and I think  makeup revolution have one which is around £6-don’t quote me on that).

So guys try it whilst on promotion as the price will increase after some time. I think this was a fantastic finding, especially because I love this affordable brand as they do one of my all time favourite concealers (Collection lasting perfection concealer -review coming soon) and so very pleased with this purchase. 👌👍

Looks like a lovely palette. I haven’t tried seventeen makeup since I left London. Some times I miss having high-street brands here in Hong Kong
