When these CREAMY, BADASS LUXURY Urban Decay Revolution lipstick’s arrived at my doorstep I was super excited as I was already a fan of their last lipstick line so couldn’t wait to try them!!
So What is the packaging like?
A beauty addict can never ignore the beauty of certain make up packaging and this sure was the first thing I fell in love with…the sleek glossy metallic angled bullet style packaging with Urban decay engraved on the side just makes it all the more enjoyable to use when applying the lipstick. However this does mean that you can get finger prints on it but nonetheless it can be easily cleaned and so a very sturdy and weighty lipstick which for the quality is surely worth it!
What does Urban Decay promise to deliver?
Addictive to apply (and even more addictive to wear), Revolution Lipstick glides on without dragging or skipping and hugs every curve. Just one swipe gives you a BIG, gorgeous laydown of colour. And with shades that range from gorgeous nudes to bold brights, there’s something for everyone.
Revolution lipstick contains Urban Decay’s Pigment Infusion System™ gives Revolution Lipstick its super creamy texture, insane pigmentation
beautiful colour dispersion and extended wear. Maxi-Lip™ defines and helps hydrates lips while making them look plumper and fuller. And a nourishing The formula also contains a blend of jojoba oil, avocado oil, cocoa butter and shea butter and leaves lips feeling super moisturised and cushiony soft.

How is the actual product?
If your looking for extremely uber pigmented, one swipe opaque lipstick that glides on with a creamy texture and shine then this lipstick is perfect for you!!
I was blown away upon first impressions as both lipsticks I had received were lighter colours and regardless were superbly pigmented that all you need is 1 application over the lips for full on colour. Also to add, the angled bullet made application a brease and the formula is not patchy and the lipstick applies evenly on the lips which is something I always appreciate from a lipstick- just swipe and go 🙂
I was also surprised at how comfortable they felt on the lips that I actually kept pressing my lips together because of how I adore the formula of these lipsticks! The opacity of the formula makes the lips look more full and plumper so for those of you who want this affect this is an added bonus!
In terms of longevity I would say they are not long lasting as they do transfer when eating, kissing, drinking etc. But Nonetheless I would conclude that for an insanely creamy and pigmented formula they definitely do have extended wear as Urban decay put it. They sit well on the lips and I would say you may need to re-apply after 4 hours of wear if not consuming foods etc but I do believe that the darker colours maybe much more long wearing and even stain the lip. These lipsticks are great for those of you who suffer from chapped, dry lips and need a moisturising formula- you will love these!
Urban Decay revolution lipstick in Fiend- 2.8g* is a muted pink. Upon swatch it definitely looks darker but is actually perfect as a warm toned pink nude (probably the lightest nude I could pull off!) on my olive skin tone so pairing this with a smoke-y eye is just perfection!
The other Urban Decay’s revolution lipstick in the shade Native- 2.8g* is a cool toned pale pink shade. It is way too pale on me and without a lip liner I look dead!- It would be beautiful on paler skinned girls (someone like shannon on youtube comes to mind!).
However I can rock this lipstick if paired with a darker lip liner as it then suits my skin tone better. Moreover I love this lipstick for other reasons because of it’s extreme pigmentation, I can use it to lighten my deeper lip colours depending on what look I am creating and so will still get some use out of it too!
In my opinion these lipsticks have been named Revolution lipsticks for a reason and honestly beautiful and on point with the quality Urban decay always delivers!
I definitely will be picking up a few deeper shades in this line as Urban decay have 22 shades to choose from…..I have my eyes on shame & Anarchy.
They retail for £15.50 and can be purchased at Urbandecay.co.uk.
