Skincare Edition: Cleansing made easy…Solution? Garnier Micellar water (a Bioderma dupe!)

Hey Everyone,

Today’s review is on the much hyped about micellar cleansing waters. Now I must admit that I definitely have jumped on this bandwagon….and so would like to review the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water which has definitely become my favourite inexpensive make up remover.

So lets get right into it……………

A bit of background info….

So a year back when I went to France I picked up the Bioderma Micellar water that everyone in the blogosphere was raving about and happily bought it back to London. I remember it was kind of on the pricey side and so purchased a duo pack since I knew it would probably be more expensive here in the UK. It lasted me quite some time and I enjoyed using it and thought I would need to re-purchase it again once it finished..

However even though I loved the Bioderma I did find it pricey and thought that I would look for an alternative ( -Bargain hunt as I call it)… and started trying out the Loreal  micellar water- it was okay but I didn’t love it (-however I did love the Loreal eye make up remover)… and so I moved on and carried on searching…its like I’m telling a story

After a few trips to the highstreet I found this little gem- Garnier micellar cleansing water and thought I’ll give it a try…the packaging is a little similar to the Bioderma, but just not as big and it’s pink:)…and as it was on offer in boots, I thought I’d give it a go…

I tried it out for a few days and let me tell you, the Garnier micellar water feels and works just like the Bioderma sebium micelle water. Fantastic. 🙂

It takes of all my make up really well and people with sensitive/acne prone skin will love it!! Its hypoallergenic and doesn’t contain fragrance!..

Also the great thing is that you can use it over the eyes, lips and all over the face and it feels like your just applying water over your face:) – don’t you just hate it when some cleansers make your eyes blury?!!!?!or feel a bit sore after taking your makeup off…this  one feels cold and soothing………

A little info on Garnier Cleansing Micellar water

Taken from (currently only £3.29 on off!)

Is Garnier Cleansing Micellar Water for me?
Yes, if you are looking for an efficient and easy to use product that cleanses and removes make-up gently in one step.

Why is it different?
Garnier Cleansing Micellar Water is an easy way to remove make-up, soothe and hydrate the face, eye area, and lips, in 1 step without rinsing.

How does it work?
For the first time, Garnier introduces the Micellar technology in an all-in-one cleanser. Like a magnet, the cleansing agents capture and lift away dirt from the skin. No need to rub to remove impurities and make-up.

The result:
Perfectly cleansed and refreshed skin without rubbing or rinsing. Garnier Cleansing Micellar Water has a soothing and fragrance free formula that suits all skin types, even sensitive.

Directions: Apply Garnier Cleansing Micellar Water to a cotton pad and wipe the face, eyes and lips. No rinsing required.

How do I use it? I soak a cotton pad with the Garnier micellar water and then hold over my eyes for about 30 seconds allowing the product to break up the make up (Lisa Eldridge style!) and then wipe away and this process removes most of my heavy eye makeup with one swipe and it’s such an easy process without causing any irritation. I then go in with a few cotton pads and remove the rest of my makeup. And to be quite honest – you might think I’m weird but I enjoy the makeup removing process with the Garnier micellar water- removing all the makeup from the face is like a pamper routine, unveiling a clean and fresh beautiful bare face! 😉

I sometimes also use this just before putting on makeup in the mornings (- as a toner) to make sure my face is properly cleansed and squeaky clean.

And so I definitely recommend you to try it as it’sonly £4.99 in boots (and always on offer at boots/Superdrug/and I saw it at Tesco for £2.66!!) and I’m sure you will love it…

Next up on my list to try is the Camomile oil cleanser from the Body shop…and the Simple micellar water…(seen lots of people recommending it!)

SOoo what do you guys recommend? please comment and let me know….:)) and tell me if you enjoyed/disliked/loved the Garnier Micellar cleansing water….would love to hear your opinions…

 Thanks for reading,
