A fantastic deal! – Groupon
A few weeks ago I was browsing through the Groupon deals and found that you could purchase a feel unique voucher for £15 but was worth £25….and so I snapped it up and purchased it…(not sure if it’s still available)
Now all that was on mind was, ‘what can I buy?’ ‘What do I need???’ Hmmm, nothing really but I had an excuse because I had the voucher:)))
So I browsed the Feel Unique site (which has an amazing range of products) and picked up a few items that I have been wanting for a while…
I had eagerly been waiting for my parcel since I had made the order. I received the parcel in 3-4 days and considering there was the weekend and bank Holiday Monday in the way…delivery was great!
The packaging was small and compact and just right for the 3 products I purchased(- don’t you just hate it when you get huge packaging for 1 item!!)….
Bourjois healthy mix serum foundation
I picked up the very much loved and hyped Bourjois Healthy mix serum foundation (shade 55- colour is perfect-Mac NC40 for reference) which I have been wanting to try (as I love trying new bases) and especially when I’ve heard its similar to some Chanel foundations..:0
Today’s the first day of using the foundation ( I just have try/swatch beauty products as soon as I can- I bet you do too!) and from only about 3 hours of use I can only give my initial thoughts on it- However this can change and so I will do an in depth review if I love it enough….:)
Firstly the foundation smells lovely and has a gel like liquid-y consistency. Because of this the foundation blends seamlessly onto the face. The blend-ability and texture of the foundation does feel like a high end foundation and would be recommended for those of you who are new to make up as you will have no problem applying this on to the skin.
Moreover I loved the coverage of this foundation. It’s light-medium, I would say more medium as it did nicely even out my skin tone. I am glad that it wasn’t like some tinted moisturisers or light coverage foundations were you put it on and it has made no difference! It’s like why put it on in the first place!! and what was it intended to do for if there’s no coverage at all.
(like the Becca Ultra sheer foundation in my opinion!)
Now back to the foundation, it gives a natural finish and would be great for those no make up- make up days were you want to wear something but not look made up. The foundation also feels very light and gives a slightly dewy, natural healthy finish.
So so far so good…the main test is the staying power and so we shall see if I love it and if so will feature it in my monthly faves 🙂
This foundation retails at feel unique for £10.99 and available at Boots & Superdrug.
Rimmel Lasting finish concealer – Dupe for Benefit’s Boi-ing concealer
This concealer I’ve heard to be a dupe for the Benefit Boi-ing concealer(-have not tried so can’t compare) and so I thought I’d try it. I got the darkest shade which is in warm beige. The concealer has a nice peachy undertone to it so will correct dark circles.
This concealer was £5.49 and I think It’s great for the price.
The concealer is very pigmented and creamy. Its a nice consistency-not too creamy nor too dry which is great. This will also be a good concealer for blemishes too. However in terms of coverage, I think its about a medium- not as full coverage as my beloved Collection lasting perfection concealer!
Now this is probably one of most exciting products for me- The Urban Decay- all nighter Make up setting Spray. It’s very much hyped up in the blogosphere and I’ve never tried it…now who doesn’t want to ‘stop make up meltdown with the groundbreaking clinically tested formula‘ (-as it claims).
And it’s apparently supposed to ‘hold make-up from cracking, fading or settling into fine lines for up-to 16 hours’ !! So I will give it a go and report back very soon!
And a bonus is that this was like my free product because the concealer and foundation alone cost over £15!
That’s all guys!!
