Today I bring you a product I’m loving and that’s highlighters/ illuminating powders..now everyone wants a bit of a glow, natural radiance and that’s exactly what this palette delivers…
Makeup Revolution’s Radiance palette
Makeup revolution which is sold at Superdrug (or you can purchase it www.makeuprevolutionstore.com) do some amazing inexpensive high end dupes so be sure to check it out…
Now I have heard this palette is a close dupe to the Hourglass ambient lighting powders and I couldn’t agree more. I have used the Hourglass palette but only own the Hour glass ambient lighting powder in Dim light- which I love apart from the steep price tag!!
However now that I have found this fantastic dupe I don’t think I would be buying the palette .The Hourglass ambient lighting powder palette retails for £56!! And in comparison this amazing palette costs only £8!!
From looking at their website the 3 shades can be bought separately (for £5 each) and they are breathe, exhale & glow.(from left to right)
However you get all 3 in 1 palette for a cheaper price, and as there is a lot of product in each pan that I don’t think it will get used up anytime soon;)
Breathe (-similar to hour glass dim light)
From the 3 shades this is the shade I love the most because it’s subtle and can be used all over the face, almost like an illuminating soft powder. You can achieve that lit-within glow which is great as I can use it at any time of the day and usually as a last step to my finished makeup look to bring back a healthy glow to the skin…
Also I’m so happy that it’s such an amazing dupe to dim light as I can use breathe on a daily basis and keep dim light for special occasions!:)
Exhale(- dupe for incandescent light)
This shade is the lightest of the 3-a champagne colour and is a beautiful highlighter. It looks amazing on the cheeks and maybe evening appropriate as it’s quite shimmery (but still not glittery) and adds a stronger sheen and glow than the other 2.
Glow (- I heard this is the dupe to Hour glass AL in radiant light!)
This is a bronzey golden shade and would look amazing on deeper skin tones and will give a beautiful sun kissed highlight to the face. Even on lighter skin tones it would be an amazing golden blush (-definitely will use in the summer months:)
The powders are very pigmented and finely milled just like the Hourglass ambient lighting powders & and the finish is very similar too…
However I must mention that the Hour glass palette definitely has more subtle illuminating properties and are more like face powders than the makeup revolution powders. Only 1 of them (breathe) from the makeup revolution powders can really be used as a all over radiance/illuminating powder but nevertheless if your like me and love highlighters than I still highly recommend.- who doesn’t love highlighters, they are soo pretty to look at and swatch:)
So this palette is a definite thumbs up from me! You can’t get a better dupe than this for the Hourglass ambient lighting powders at such an amazing price!!
Let me know if you have tried it and your thoughts…
